Our History
Disciples of Christ Assembly, Atlanta began as a small fellowship fueled by a profound divine calling. The first service was held on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in the living room of Pastor David Oke, whom the Lord instructed to start the church: “Build people and point them to Christ for me. There are many church members, but disciples are scarce.” The Lord gave him the mandate to raise disciples of Christ who are lovers of righteousness, influential in the marketplace and agents of socialization, and a bridge between the church and the world. They are to engage the culture without compromising righteousness and the word of God. Hence, our slogan “…building people and pointing them to Christ” (Daniel 12:3, Matthew 13:43). Over the years, our assembly has grown, deeply rooted in the Word of God, into a vibrant spiritual hub, currently established in the heart of Atlanta. We have remained dedicated to fostering a community where faith flourishes and every individual is empowered to walk in their divine purpose.
Mission
to build people and point them to Christ, a people of influence and models of righteousness in the world who are disciples of Christ by preaching and teaching the word of God with grace and truth.
Vision
To build compassionate disciples of Christ, full of God’s wisdom, who are change agents and lights in the marketplace (agents of socialization), grounded in and living out the Word of God.
To raise and guide people into their God-ordained spotlight as a bridge between the church and the world, living Christ-centered lives of righteousness and excellence.
To equip highly skilled people filled with the love of Christ to serve their generation, engage and adapt to its culture, and confront it with the uncompromised Word of God till Jesus comes back again.

CORE BELIEF

In the total depravity of the human race, repentance, restitution, and deliverance from the penalty, the power, and the presence of sin, embracing and living in redemption through the blood of Christ. We also believe in water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit that manifests through the gifts and the fruits of the Holy Spirit as a testimony to salvation.

CORE BELIEF
DELIVERANCE AND THE SUPERNATURAL
Colossians 1:13; Mark 16:17-18
We believe in the supernatural and deliverance from demonic powers and oppressions through prayers, the teaching, and the knowledge of the word of God, laying of hands, and intercession.

We believe in the love of God through Christ, demonstrated by the act of compassion and kindness, through holiness and righteousness. We believe in the biblical principle of marriage, that marriage is between a natural male and a natural female, as established, instituted, and ordained by God. We believe in eternal heaven and hell, the new heaven and the new earth, the resurrection of the body, the tribulation, the second coming of Christ, His millennial reign, His judgement seat for saint's rewards, the final judgement, the endless punishment of unbelievers, and the endless ages when God the Father of all shall be all in all.
CORE BELIEF
HOLINESS, CONSECRATION, & ACCOUNTABILITY
Romans 12:1-2, 1 Corinthians 6:20; 9:27, Matthew 5:16
We believe that Holiness is both inward and outward, in words and in deeds. We know that man has infirmities and is not perfect; however, this is not an excuse for willful sin. As believers, we are required to consecrate ourselves daily through the study of God’s word and by living it. As members of this ministry, we are accountable first to God individually and then to each other . We must be a good example to other believers and unbelievers alike, as we are the walking Bible people read.
CORE BELIEF
THE FIVE-FOLD MINISTRY AND SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP
Ephesians 4:8-11, 2 Corinthians 10:8, Hebrews 13:17
We believe in the ministry of Five-fold offices and gifts (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers) as given (to some) to us by Jesus Christ for the edification of the saints and the total man. These ministries are still active and have not ceased, as they are in charge of the governmental leadership of the church, leading her under the leadership of Jesus Christ, the head of the church.
